A big thanks to everyone that’s followed my journey following George A. Wyman so far. I’m working on the first chapter in Nevada, but before leaving The Golden State, I want to share this short video of the Zero electric motorcycle showcasing the sound of the bike. Most people have not seen or heard an electric motorcycle, even now in 2024. And while many at this point have heard an electric car, it’s kind of eerie to hear a vehicle typically associated with loud noises (Potato! Potato!) go by so quietly.

ALT Description for the blind/visually-impaired
Shot 1: The camera is pointing at a narrow sandstone arched railroad viaduct. There are tall, green trees and grasses on either side of the road that passes beneath the viaduct. The sky is blue. A motorcycle rides towards and beneath the railroad viaduct.
Shot 2: A motorcycle rider leans into a left hand bend on a road that cuts through a thick evergreen forest. The road is cut through rock which lines the roadway, above with the trees grow. Much of the video is in shade while other parts, including the rider, is in bright sun. The rider disappears down the road.
Shot 3: Large, house-sized, light grey boulders line the far side of the road as it descends from right to left. A motorcycle rides along the road.
Shot 4: An older arched concrete bridge crosses a rocky chasm from the left and descending to the right. A lone motorcyclist descends on the bridge. Beyond, the deep blue waters of Donner Lake are framed by rolling green mountains. And in the hazy distance lie more purple mountains. On the mountain on the right, you can see a cut along the mountain that is the Transcontinental Railroad.
